General Notes:
FamilySearch™ International Genealogical Index v5.0 shows a Juan B Cristy born in 1845 and also has a Juan Bautista Cristy born in 1860 marrying an Agustina du Sanell. However, none of these dates work out when comparing children's ages as per those mentioned in the 1910 and 1920 censuses.
There is a great variation in the spelling of the Cristy name in Europe: Christie Christi Christia Christy Cristy

My g-g-grandmother was Clemencia Cristy she married Fernando Ansoategui (Anzoategui) De Montenegro. Her father was Juan Bautista Cristy Lange and her mother Augustina Vanell (DuVanell) Garnier. Juan and Augustina had five children Alfredo, Ana is, Clara, Clemencia and Margarita. I collected this information from Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, and family members. I've heard from my father that French, Italian and Corsica were in our family history but he didn't know the details. My father was told by a cousin that the Cristy's were from Viscaya, Spain?
