Carmelo H. BASCARAN QUINTERO

  General Notes:

Carmelo's brother was the famous and valiant Juancho Bascaran, married to Susana Gallart. During the Spanish-American war, Bascaran killed Dr. Pratts for having admitted to an affair with his wife. Juancho turned himself in to the authorities and in prison slashed his wrists. Not being successful with this suicide attempt, he hung himself with a bed sheet.

Carmelo married Joaquina "Nina" ANZOATEGUI CRISTY, daughter of Fernando ANZOATEGUI MONTENEGRO and Clemencia CRISTY DU VANELL. (Joaquina "Nina" ANZOATEGUI CRISTY was born circa 1859.)
