In these pages I have put together an organized collection of my
work at Greenville Tech. during the Spring of 2006 under the banner
of Letzen & Associates Web Design Services.
The first site is entitled a Window
to the Web and is designed as a resource site. This site
aims to showcase my efforts, progress, and achievements in Web Design
concepts and best practices such as:
- Understanding of the four parameters and underlying questions
by which web sites can be judged.
- Comprehension of the evolution of web design.
- Awareness of usability and accessibility guidelines and standards.
- Grasp of the 3-phase Web site design process to plan, design,
produce it, launch, test and improve a user-centered Web site.
- Experience creating a basic 2nd Generation Web site using HTML
code or an editing package.
- Capacity to elicit, analyze, and create a structure of information
for a user-centered, interactive Web site.
The second site is a topical web site developed around the subject
of Leadership. This part
of the portfolio is meant to develop structured coding habits using
HTML and incorporates dynamic elements and interactivity.
The third site is also a topical web site for adults who discover
later in life that they wished they had learned to play a musical
instrument. Titled Music
Making for Adult Beginners, its Flash animation targets the
personal motivations for making music that a site visitor might
bring based on individual personal experiences and hopes.
Special thanks are extended to my professor, Dr. Carolee Cameron,
author of Web
Design: Concepts and Best Practices .
